About Peninsula Lakes

Carved from the remains of an old sand and gravel quarry, Peninsula Lakes Golf Club is considered by many to be “The Jewel of Niagara”. Designed by legendary Canadian architect, Rene Muylaert, Peninsula Lakes Golf Club has been recognized by Golf Digest as a four and a half star facility. Ranked #1 in Golfer’s Choice 2023: Best Hidden Gems in Canada”

Featuring three, 9 hole courses

Quarry

As the name suggests, the original Quarry Course (3240 yards / par 35) is defined by a descent to the quarry bottom and a gradual return to the clubhouse atop its rim. The Quarry nine includes four (4) large “lakes” which can come into play on holes # 1, 2, 5 and 6.

Hillside

The Hillside Course (3318 yards / par 36) is adjacent to the clubhouse and the Quarry Course. It is consistent with the Quarry Course in that ponds come into play on several holes, including # 4, 5, 7 and 8. This nine, more so than the others, makes imaginative use of its many lakes and offers some very scenic hole settings. Including the island green 8th hole. The Hillside course also features what is called the “hardest hole in Niagara” on the 4th hole. This hole demands four good shots to make a par.

Orchard

The Orchard course is the Newest 9 and measures (3279 / par 35) and is very consistent with the other two courses. Probably the most scenic of the three, the 2nd hole on the Orchard is simply the most beautiful par 3 in Niagara.
